Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (“BHSI”) has introduced the “Executive First Nonprofit Portfolio,” a collection of executive and professional lines coverages for America's nonprofit organizations.
The portfolio offers:
- directors and officers liability,
- employment practices liability (“EPL”),
- fiduciary liability,
- employed lawyers liability, and
- commercial crime insurance.
“Our nonprofit portfolio is another milestone in our journey to bring cost-effective, clearly articulated management liability solutions to the marketplace,” said Dan Fortin, the head of executive and professional lines at BHSI. “Like our executive and professional lines products for commercial enterprises, financial institutions, and private companies, our newest form for nonprofits comes with BHSI's deep expertise and financial strength.”
The Executive First Nonprofit Organization Portfolio offers up to $50 million in capacity, with the flexibility of shared or separate coverage limits. Organizations purchasing employment practices liability insurance gain access to BHSI's EPL First, an on-line repository of human resources training and compliance resources, as well as an attorney-client privileged “help line” for services from an employment attorney. Employment practices liability services are provided by Littler Mendelson, an employment and labor law firm.
