Jean M. Daly has joined Murchison & Cumming, LLP, as a partner.
Resident in the firm's office in Los Angeles, Ms. Daly focuses her practice on representing insurers in complex coverage litigation, including defending against bad faith claims, assisting with fraud and arson investigations, and handling first party coverage matters. This includes issuing coverage opinions and assisting special investigation units in investigating and initiating affirmative litigation against physicians, medical groups, and attorneys for fraudulent billing and unnecessary medical treatment.
She also represents insurance carriers in both state and federal court in connection with civil RICO and California whistleblower actions.
Ms. Daly is a specialist in the field of arson and fire losses and served as an assistant district attorney in both San Francisco and Los Angeles counties, heading up the arson unit in Los Angeles, before moving to the private sector. She is also knowledgeable regarding cyber issues, having received cyber training from the FBI, and will be working with firm clients on cyber issues.
“We are very excited to have Jean join our firm. Her wide ranging experience will benefit our clients across several of our practice groups,” said managing partner Dan L. Longo.
