Laurie A. Kamaiko has joined Sedgwick as a partner in the New York office.

Prior to joining Sedgwick, Ms. Kamaiko was a partner with Locke Lord LLP, where she served as co-chair of the privacy and cybersecurity practice group.

Ms. Kamaiko brings experience advising clients on emerging and complex risks, including cybersecurity, terrorism and natural catastrophes, and helping clients limit exposure to data breaches and other cyber incidents. Her experience includes counseling companies in the insurance and reinsurance industry on the handling of claims and coverage issues arising from these events, as well as working closely with such companies on projects such as new product development and policy wordings.

Ms. Kamaiko also has experience providing advice to insurers and reinsurers on other complex coverage issues as well, and in negotiating resolution of coverage disputes and litigating coverage actions. She counsels firms on professional liability claims and environmental risks.
