Google, which has created a website for its self-driving car project, has released its second monthly report, for June.

According to the report, Google has 23 Lexus RX450h SUVs that are self-driving on public streets, mainly in Mountain View, California, and 25 prototypes, two of which currently are self-driving on public streets, mainly in Mountain View.

Among other things, the June report indicated that, since the start of the project in 2009, its vehicles have driven 1,057,962 miles in “autonomous mode,” meaning the software is driving the vehicle and safety drivers are not touching the manual controls. It also said that its vehicles have driven 816,380 miles in “manual mode,” meaning safety drivers were driving the car.

In addition, Google reported that it is currently averaging approximately 10,000 autonomous miles per week on public streets.
