General Reinsurance Corporation has appointed Robert M. Jones as co-president and chief marketing officer for global marketing. Carole M. Ferrero will assume the title of co-president in the capacity of global chief underwriter. Ken Lundgren has been promoted to vice chairman. The executives will report to Tad Montross, the chairman and chief executive officer of General Re Corporation.
Mr. Montross said, “I am confident Bob and Carole will lead our reinsurance business to new heights, delivering differentiated products and services as well as unparalleled underwriting expertise.”
Martin G. Hacala, the global chief claims manager for General Reinsurance, will assume Mr. Jones' former position as the president and CEO of General Star Management Company and Genesis Management & Insurance Services, the group's E&S and alternative risk subsidiaries.
The company said that Mo Tooker, previously president of General Reinsurance Corporation, has resigned.
