Reinsurance Group of America, Inc., has appointed Todd C. Larson to the position of chief risk officer. Previously, Mr. Larson served as executive vice president of corporate finance and treasurer.
“Todd is perfectly suited to the responsibilities of the chief risk officer, primarily due to his extensive experience dealing with RGA's financial reporting and capital management issues. He has also been intricately involved in new transaction risk assessment, and has a high level understanding of RGA's operations,” said Jack Lay, the company's senior executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Mr. Larson has been part of the RGA management team since he joined the company in 1995 from Northwestern Mutual, where he held the position of assistant controller. Prior to that, he worked in KPMG's insurance practice.
Mr. Larson holds a B.S. in accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
