Michael S. Savett has joined Nelson Levine de Luca & Hamilton as a partner in the firm's insurance coverage practice, resident in its office in New Jersey.

Mr. Savett has been representing insurers in coverage and bad faith issues for more than 15 years. He handles a broad range of matters, including commercial liability, automobile, environmental, property, directors and officers, and professional liability. His insurance experience also includes serving as claims counsel for a multi-line property and casualty insurer. In that role, he coordinated environmental liability and construction claims, and analyzed policies to determine coverage of potential liabilities.

Mr. Savett earned his B.A. in political science from The University of Delaware and his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Prior to joining Nelson Levine, he was a partner at Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP.

“Michael's arrival reinforces our commitment to growing the firm with authorities in the insurance field,” said Mike Nelson, chairman of Nelson Levine. “His legal knowledge and reputation further bolsters our coverage capabilities and are a natural fit — further distinguishing us as a go-to law firm for the insurance industry.”
