Business Insurance USA has customized a tailored policy package for photographer's insurance and is now offering the program in over 20 states for newly formed and established professional photographers.

Business Insurance said that its photographer's insurance policy protects both the general liability and professional liability aspects of a photographer's business and includes content coverage for equipment in case of damage or theft during an event.

Business Insurance explained that a photographer's equipment cannot be covered under a business owners policy (“BOP”) as business personal property because that only covers the items in the predominant business location and not when traveling or working out in the field. Within the photographer general liability policy, customized coverage can be added for lost or damaged contracts and valuable paperwork that clients might have provided.
