According to experts, thousands of Superstorm Sandy-damaged cars have wound up back on the road, or sitting on used car lots located in some cases not even that far away from where total-loss claims were settled.
An estimated 80,000 to 100,000 vehicles from Sandy-affected states will be declared total losses. There's also a chance many of these will resurface in the used car market.
