To gain a better understanding of how policyholders truly view insurance companies across P&C, life and health lines, Forbes and Statista surveyed more than 15,000 consumers for the second annual America's Best Insurance Companies report.

The companies were ranked on overall satisfaction in five categories:

  • Financial advice
  • Customer service
  • Transparency/Digital services
  • Price/performance
  • Damage/benefit
  • Likelihood of respondents to recommend the company

Forbes reported the best-rated insurance companies all embraced digital processes to deliver experiences that meet modern consumers' expectations.

"Customers' ability to avoid face-to-face meetings, file claims online, and generally 'do-it-themselves' has been disruptive for those lagging in tech adoption," the report noted.
