For many music lovers, there's nothing quite like an outdoor summer concert, tailgating with friends in an arena parking lot and enjoying your favorite live performers in an open, freestanding setting on a warm summer night.
Music festival season is also a particularly popular summer highlight, gathering tens of thousands of fans in large open, outdoor venues for weekend-long events. But as we have tragically seen in recent years, these kinds of events of such large public assembly can be the site of unimaginable disaster.
