Although October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month, cybersecurity is increasingly becoming part of everyday discussions throughout the U.S. From the 2016 election to the numerous scandals plaguing Facebook, cybersecurity should be a concern for anyone who uses internet-connected devices.

Despite this, most users don't seem to be concerned. According to the Insurance Information Institute and J.D. Power 2018 Consumer Cyber Insurance and Security Spotlight Survey, six out of 10 people who own connected technology said they don't have privacy or cybersecurity concerns related to their connected devices.
