Ethos Specialty Insurance Services, Ascot Group's U.S. MGUplatform, has appointed Rory Cline as president and CEO. He joinedEthos Specialty at its inception in 2017 and most recently held therole of chief underwriting officer.
|Prior to this, Cline served as president of Ascot SpecialtyU.S., a position he held since 2009. In a career that has spannedover 35 years, he has held a number of senior management positionsin both primary insurance and reinsurance includingbeing the founding CEO of MGU, DirectFac, in 2004.
|“Rory has been a long-standing employee of Ascot and understandsour values and the culture we have,” Andrew Brooks, Ascot GroupCEO, said in a statement. “Since joining Ethos at its foundationlast year, he and the team have done an excellent job taking thecompany from a start-up MGU to a serious player in the market — andhe's the right person to lead them into their next phase ofdevelopment.”
