RIMS, the risk management society™,announced Monday the winners of several industry awards given outduring the RIMS 2018 Annual Conference & Exhibition AwardsLuncheon in San Antonio.

Here are the insurance and risk management professionals honoredduring the event:

Ward Ching, managing director of theWestern Region at Aon Global Risk Consulting, received theorganization's most prestigious honor, the Harry and DorothyGoodell Award, which is named after RIMS' first president. Theaward pays tribute to an individual who has furthered the goals ofthe Society and the risk management discipline through outstandingservice and achievement.

Rebecca F. Cady, vice president and chief riskofficer at the Children's National Medical Center, was named RIMSRisk Manager of the Year.

Sandy Aspinall, Jr., vice president of GlobalRisk Management for Comcast Corporation; JenniferHills, director of the Office of Risk ManagementServices for King County (Washington); and JosephMeaney, Jr., vice president of Global Insurance and RiskEngineering for The AES Corporation, were named to the RiskManagement Honor Roll for their efforts to raise the profile of therisk management profession.

Randy Jouben, the risk manager for FairfaxCounty Government and active member of RIMS Potomac Chapter, received the Ron Judd “Heart of RIMS” Award, which paystribute to the legacy of Ron Judd, who served as the RIMS ExecutiveDirector for 22 years. Individuals are nominated by chapters foroutstanding performance in furthering risk management at thechapter level.

Lindsey Harris, risk manager atDollar Tree Stores, Inc., and JaciMennenga, Manager, Corporate Risk Management atCOUNTRY Financial, both received the RIMS Rising Star Award.

Andrew Bent, risk manager at The Sage GroupPLC, and Lori Seidenberg, head of Global RealAssets Insurance at BlackRock, Inc., were named to the RIMSAmbassadors Group.

Former RIMS President Berry Griffin wasinducted into the Risk Management Hall of Fame.

|

Terry Fleming received the Richard W. BlandMemorial Award, which was created by the RIMS Kansas City Chapterin 1974 to recognize exceptional commitment in the area oflegislation or regulation.

Peter Galvin, risk manager at Uline,received The Cristy Award, which acknowledges the individualwho earned the highest marks on the three exams required to earnthe Associate of Risk Management designation.

|

And finally, Lockton was named thetop-performing broker for 2017, and XLCatlin the top-performing insurer for 2017, based ondata collected as part of the J.D. Power 2017 LargeCommercial Insurance Study, conducted in associationwith RIMS.
