SapiensInternational Corporation, the global provider of softwaresolutions for the insurance industry, has entered into a definitiveagreement to acquire Adaptik, a Pennsylvania-based firm that offersproperty and casualty (P&C) policy administration and billingcapabilities for commercial, personal, specialty and workers'compensation lines of business. Sapiens says the acquisition willenable it to provide North American insurance carriers with anenhanced platform.
|The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based home telematicscompany Roost has entered into a partnership with ErieInsurance, which selected the Roost Smart Water Leak and FreezeDetector. The deal reflects Roost's mission to become a go-to smartsensor notification platform as well as the customer engagementsolution of choice for the P&C industry. Earlier thisyear, Roost unveiled its Smart Garage Door Sensor, whichjoined the company's suite of home telematics solutions thatinclude the Roost Smart Battery and the Roost Smart Water Leak andFreeze Detector.
|To enhance its underwriting capabilities, ColumbiaInsurance Group will deploy the InsureRight® Platform fromValenAnalytics®, an Insurity company and a provider of proprietarydata, analytics and predictive modeling for P & C insurers.Columbia will utilize the Predict application of Valen'splatform to increase visibility and efficiency in risk selectionand pricing for its workers' compensation underwriting teams.
|Sylvia Group, a regional insurance, risk managementand consulting firm, has selected RiskMatch, a subsidiary of Vertafore, for dataand analytics, and plans to leverage the patented digitaltechnology to enhance client service and its ability to work withinsurance companies on best-in-class solutions.
|Beyontec,an international company that provides its workflow-driven, fullyconfigurable software to the P&C insurance industry, has becomea member of the Verisk Strategic Alliances program. StrategicAlliances enables Beyontec to work with Verisk's ISO business andto use ISO's offerings for creating products and services forBeyontec's customers and for enhancing the capabilities of theBeyontec Suite.
|The P&C insurance industry software provider Guidewire Software,Inc., recently announced that Utilant, a globalsoftware provider for the insurance industry, has joined GuidewirePartnerConnect™ as a Solution partner. In addition, Utilant'sInspection Management Accelerator, which speeds the integrationbetween Utilant Loss Control 360 and Guidewire PolicyCenter®, hassuccessfully completed the Ready for Guidewire acceleratorvalidation process.
