The second full day at RIMS 2017 was full of educational sessions, productivemeetings and lots of fun on the exhibit hall floor at thePennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Tuesday morning began with a breakfast that honored RIMS 2017 Risk Manager of the Year winner LorenNickel, director of business risk and insurance at Google and RIMSRisk Management Honor Roll inductees Benjamin Evans, executivedirector, Office of Risk Management and Insurance at the Universityof Pennsylvania; Juliana J. Keaton, director of insurance at CSXTransportation, Inc.; and Scot Schwarting, director of riskmanagement at Whirlpool Corporation.

Throughout the day visitors attended educational sessionsincluding “Two Worlds Joined: Risk and Compliance,” a top sessionof the day, according to RIMS. Jennifer Santiago of Novartis and LanceEwing of Cotton Holdings provided attendees with a breakdown ofthe similarities and differences between the roles of complianceprofessional and risk manager.

Technology was key at Travelers Cos.'s booth at RIMS. On oneend, attendees were invited to try flying a small drone — atask that as many attendees found out is not as easy as itlooks!

On the other side of the booth, attendees were invited to try ona vest designed to aid workers returning to heavy-lifting jobsafter an injury. With the vest on, attendees were given heavyobjects to lift and test how the vest helps make strenuous tasksmuch easier on strained bodies.

Tuesday at NovaCare's booth, attendees had the opportunity totake pictures with ESPN Analyst Ron Jaworski and formerPhiladelphia Eagles Special Teams Captain Vince Papale. Later thatafternoon, the booth hosted a second photo opportunity with ChrisMaragos and Trey Burton from the Eagles.

Those who stopped at DataDimensions' booth were treated to anamusing magic routine.

AppliedUnderwriters invited attendees to take a picture with theworld's biggest bobblehead. Check out pictures under the Twitterhashtag #AUBIGDOG.

At FMGlobal's booth, attendees were given a comprehensiveintroduction to its Global Flood Map, which provides a worldwideview of moderate- and high-hazard flood zones across the globe.
