Jetty, anew insurance provider, has launched in multiple states to provideinsurance specifically designed for city dwellers.

The company offers a variety of traditional insurance products, as well asJetty Passport, a suite of unique renters services which help tenants forgorequirements like posting a security deposit or finding aguarantor.

Jetty's insurance plans are now available in Pennsylvania,Illinois, and Georgia; Jetty Passport is now available inPennsylvania, Illinois, Georgia, New Jersey, and Florida, withplans for expansion for all offerings throughout theyear.

Jetty has raised $4 million to date in seed funding from astrategic group of investors, including Ribbit Capital, Box Group,Social Capital, SV Angel, Red Swan, MetaProp NYC and Solon MackCapital.

Catalyzingtraditional insurance 


The entire Jetty experience, from initial sign-up and filing claimsto protecting valuables and personal electronics, is completedthrough a paperless experience on Jetty'swebsite. 
Jetty has partnered with Munich Re, the world's largest reinsurer, toprovide robust financial support for the company's products.

Starting plans provide offer a variety of coverages, including:property, liability and medical, among others.

For more specific insurance requirements, such as protectingvaluable, high-ticket items, users can turn to Jetty Power-Ups.Power-Ups categories can range from jewelry and designer handbags to audio gear andartwork

Additional modern coverage options employed by Jetty providescoverage for customers who rent out their apartment on services like Airbnb; also, all Jettyusers receive the Jetty "bed bugs" Power-Up, which helps offset thecost of an exterminator for victims of bed bugs.

Modernizingmembership benefits


Jetty says  it will remove hurdles for city dwellers byoffering a suite of membership benefits to provide discounts andpromotions on services such as food and beverage, housewares, homeservices and more.

These benefitshelp foster continued customer engagement beyond the initialsign-up while delivering further value to members — from move-inday and beyond. Partnerships at launch include Thrive Market,Laurel & Wolf, Winc, and more, with others addedregularly.
