Which P&C insurance providers have earned the favor of U.S.risk managers?

National Underwriter's Risk Manager Choice Awards is anational survey conducted by Flaspöhler, part of NMG Consulting. Itrecognizes the “top” Property & Casualty carriers named by riskprofessionals in their efforts to mitigate exposures.

Chubb takes top honors this year as the overall pick for BestCommercial Insurance Provider, and was named by risk managers asthe top insurer in three product lines: D&O, EmploymentPractices Liability and Surety. Chubb also received high marks fortimely service.

Swiss Re, the highest scoring carrier on eight factors criticalto risk managers combined, took top honors in several individualfactors, including claims handling, financial value andinternational capability. Likewise, FM Global was rated tops inclient orientation; expertise/market knowledge/risk managementadvice; financial security; and underwriting capabilities.

AIG ranked the highest in an impressive dozen product lines,including Cyber Liability, Commercial Multi-Peril,Commercial Excess Flood, General Liability, and Terrorism. AIG scored the most “wins” among 20lines of business, with FM Global and Liberty Mutual scoring thehighest in two lines each.
