The 2016 market share homeowners' report includes countrywidedirect written premium totals for the top 25 groups and companiesas reported on the annual statement for insurers that report to theNAIC. Direct premiums written among the top 25 providerstotaled $91.3 billion in 2016, compared with $89 billion in 2015and $86.7 billion in 2014.

The top 10 providers accounted for 61.7 percent of 2016 directpremiums written, compared with 61.14 percent of direct premiumswritten in 2015. The top 10 providers remained the same as in2014 and 2015, and in the same order.
