Each year, National Underwriter Property & Casualtyattends the Workers' Compensation Institute's Education Conferencein Orlando, Florida, which includes a volunteer day at Give Kids theWorld village in nearby Kissimmee.
|So many attendees volunteered this year — nearly 500people — that the volunteer day expanded to range overthree days. After a charity gala hosted by National UnderwriterProperty & Casualty Editor-in-Chief Shawn Moynihan onthe evening of Aug. 20, WCEC's volunteers and attendees raised $50,000for Give Kids the World.
|Give Kids the World is a storybook-themed village that hostsseriously and terminally ill children and their families onMake-A-Wish trips to the Disney parks. The volunteers at Give Kidsthe World put their maximum effort into making sure the entirefamily has an unforgettable time on their trip.
