Google provides some great tools for insurance agency marketers, most of which arefree.

Some of these tools are well known, while others may comeas a surprise to producers and agency marketers. These tools areeasy to find on Google just by Googling them, but some links areincluded below to help you get started.

These tools aren't ranked in any particular order. That said, every insurance agency and broker probably should have GoogleAnalytics loaded on their site, even for those using platforms suchas HubSpot.

Google Webmaster Tools offers a plethora of tools for insurancemarketers. One recent tool I'd suggest every agency and broker useis the Google Mobile Friendly Test. This tool is very easy to useand determines if your insurance agency website is mobile friendly,or if there are any refinements needed even if your website passesthe mobile friendly test.

For agencies that fail the test, get to work on a mobileresponsive website as soon as possible. For those that pass butreceive a list of issues, the test will help better optimize awebsite. My Top 10 list is below, but there are many other toolsavailable:

I'd be reticent if I didn't mention Google's top insurancemarketing tool — YouTube. YouTube, owned by Google since November2006, offers agencies a superior platform to share recordedwebinars, executive briefings, videos and whiteboard videos. Forexample, some of our StartUpSelling videos have been viewed by morethan 10,000 agencies and brokers, and we've received many inboundleads from our insurance marketing YouTube channel.
