Chicago-based independent insurance agency Parr Insurance Brokerage said it has created a policy for Chicago-based E-Rive, a low-cost, electric-vehicle car sharing service. 

East Aurora, N.Y.-based Greene & Associates, an underwriting manager and wholesale broker for excess and surplus lines coverage, said it has opened a satellite office in Glastonbury, Conn. The agency said it currently writes business in 49 states and the District of Columbia.   

Alexandria Va.-based Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America said that Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) will be a keynote speaker at its legislative conference breakfast on Thursday, April 14. The event precedes the association’s annual Big “I” Day on Capitol Hill where agents and brokers convene to educate members of the Senate, House and their staff on issues that affect independent insurance agents, brokers and consumers.  

Holon, Israel-based insurance software provider Sapiens International Corp. said it has made its Sapiens IDIT Software Suite v13.1 available to its property and casualty/general insurance customers and business partners.

Foster City, Calif.-based insurance software developer Guidewire Software Inc. said a new version of its Guidewire Live app is now available for insurance underwriters. The company said its Guidewire Live Spotlight helps underwriters by automating the assessment of location-based risk.   

Zurich-based property and casualty insurer Chubb Ltd. said it is now offering Construction insurance and services for midsize construction companies in the United States and Canada.

The Washington, D.C.-based American Insurance Association said it has redesigned its website, which now details its history and contributions over the past 150 years. The property and casualty insurance trade organization also said it has unveiled a logo to commemorate its 150th anniversary, which will be celebrated at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners meeting in New Orleans in April, and later this year in Washington.

East Windsor, Conn.-based Insuritas said it will begin offering insurance policies through Wichita Falls, Texas-based First National Bank and El Centro, Calif.-based Sun Community Federal Credit Union.

Dublin-based insurance and reinsurance giant XL Catlin said it has expanded its professional liability underwriting operations to New York, Chicago, Denver and Toronto.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based property and casualty insurance company Main Street America Group said its 2015 financial results included a 7.9 percent return on equity, 99.8 combined ratio, net income of $91.4 million, net written premium of $968 million and surplus growth of $60 million for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2015.
