White Plains, N.Y.-based Marsh &McLennan Agency LLC (MMA) said it has acquiredFargo, N.D.-based DawsonInsurance Agency.

|Dawson Insurance, which was established in 1917, serve clientsin North Dakota and Minnesota, providing commercial and personalinsurance, surety bonds, safety and loss control programs, andemployee benefits services, with a particular focus on theconstruction and real estate industries.
|“Dawson Insurance's extensive industry knowledge, history ofclient innovation, and culture of giving back to the community madeit the perfect choice for MMA to enter the North Dakota market,”said David Eslick, MMA chairman and CEO.
|With 58 employees, Dawson Insurance generates $10 million inrevenue. Dawson's employees will join MMA's upper Midwest region,but the company will continue to operate out of its two existingoffices in Fargo as Dawson Insurance, a Marsh & McLennan Agencycompany. Tom Dawson and Dan Armbrust will continue to leadDawson.
