One Call CareManagement announced the promotion of PamelaLandefeld to the position of president of OneCall Care Diagnostics. In her new role, Landefeld will leadproduct management and innovation, and will contribute to the OneCall leadership team’s vision and strategic planning. Landefeld’sstarted with One Call in 1993, and has served as senior vicepresident and diagnostics national product leader. Prior to that,she served as vice president of national sales and accountmanagement.

AEUannounced that Kayla Tortorich has joined the AEUteam as vice president of claims medical management. Prior tojoining AEU, she spent more than 10 years working in the insuranceindustry managing a medical bill review team, a Medicare set asideteam, a pharmacy benefit manager vendor, and field medicalmanagement nurses.

Willis Group Holdingsannounced the appointment of Mary O’Connor as theCEO of financial lines for Willis GB. While O’Connor joins theexecutive committee of Willis GB, she continues to serve as globalhead of Willis’s financial institutions industry, withresponsibility for Willis’s worldwide practice relating to allfinancial services clients. She joined Willis from the UnitedKingdom's Financial Services Authority (FSA), where she was wasresponsible for overseeing regulation of executives andclient-facing staff working in financial services. She previouslyserved as a manager in the Enforcement and Financial CrimeDivision. Prior to her time at the FSA (now the Financial ConductAuthority), O’Connor was a partner at a major U.S. law firm inLondon, and an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C.

Robert P. Restrepo Jr. is the recipient of theGriffith InsuranceEducation Foundation’s 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award. Thepresentation was made at the Property Casualty Insurers Associationof America’s (PCI’s) annual meeting, held in Hollywood, Fla.,earlier this month. Restrepo was recognized for hiscommitments to education and for his support of the missions of theGriffith Foundation and PCI. Restrepo is chairman of the board ofdirectors of Columbus, Ohio-based State Auto Insurance Cos., andalso serves on the board of directors of the Columbus Chamber ofCommerce, the Insurance Information Institute, Columbus College ofArt and Design, Nuclear Electric Insurance Ltd., and on the boardof trustees of The Institutes.

Social Intelligence announced the addition of MassachusettsInstitute of Technology Professor AlexPentland to the company's advisory board. Pentlandwas appointed as part of the company’s ongoing effort to improvethe way the insurance industry uses social media for riskassessment. Pentland’s expertise in channeling big data foranalysis will help to ensure that the customer’s best interest willcontinue to influence the use of nontraditional data sourcesthroughout the lifecycle of the insurance policy, the companysaid.
