Cunningham Lindsey has named DeniseLong vice president of Catastrophe Operations andMichael Bruce as director of Flood Operations.Bringing more than 20 years of claims experience to CunninghamLindsey, Long will refine and direct the firm's CatastropheServices Division, while building strategic partnerships with newand existing clients. Bruce, having over 10 years of NFIPexperience, will lead a team of experienced and certified floodadjusters and will identify opportunities that will drive growth toCunningham Lindsey's flood adjusting services.

Freberg Environmental Insurance (FEI) announcedthe appointment of several key staff members. BrendaRyberg joined FEI in June as a Program Manager of FEI'sHazardous Materials Trucking program. Ryberg brings nearly 30 yearsof insurance industry experience to FEI and most recently served assenior underwriter for auto and garage risks at Colony InsuranceCompany. Nick Langham joined FEI in July as asenior environmental impairment liability underwriter, with adiverse environmental insurance and consulting background. Langhammost recently served as underwriter for AIG's Dallas region. Basedin Short Hills, New Jersey, Kristen Scott joinsFEI as a production underwriter. Prior to joining FEI, Scottmanaged a national environmental storage tank program as well asother environmental product lines for Chamber Insurance AgencyServices. Sean Mclaughlin, based in Denver, Colo.,joined FEI as a production underwriter. Most recently, Mclaughlinserved as environmental production underwriter for Tokio MarineSpecialty.

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies(NAMIC) has appointed Cate Paolino asdirector of state affairs for its Northeast region. Based inMassachusetts, Paolino will represent NAMIC member companyinterests in New England and New York. Prior to joining NAMIC,Paolino served as senior counsel and second vice president,Regulatory Research and Compliance for Travelers.

John Giralt has joined Hiscoxas head of property for the company's Miami MGA operation. Withalmost 30 years in the industry, Giralt joins Hiscox from CatlinXL, where he most recently served as a director covering theAmericas. Giralt's focus will be on writing property, powergeneration and construction business throughout Latin America andthe Caribbean.

Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. hasannounced the addition of Alex Hindson as chiefrisk officer. Hindson most recently served as chief risk officerfor Amlin AG's Bermuda and Zurich operations. Prior to that,Hindson held a number of key leadership roles in risk management atAmlin plc, Aon Global Risk Consulting and AstraZeneca.

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation(IICF) announced the appointment of BarbaraBufkin as executive vice president of business developmentfor Hamilton USA. Bufkin is the 23rd senior insuranceindustry executive to join IICF's most prestigious board. Theesteemed Inclusion Champion Award was awarded to Bufkin by IICFduring the foundation's 2015 Women in Insurance Global Conferencein New York. Bufkin joined Hamilton USA in 2014 as executive vicepresident of business development.

Maritime Program has added three new staffmembers to their recreational marine division. RogerCarbonier, who has dedicated the last 16 years to themarine reinsurance business, has been named vice president anddirector of recreational marine. He will oversee the growth andproduction of MPG's national recreational marine portfolio.Michael Luu has been named commercial marineunderwriter and focus on production for the recreational marineportfolio. Bringing with her 15 years of insurance experience,including marine insurance, Maria Lawrence hasbeen named West Coast Yacht underwriter. Based out of Stockton, CA,Maria will work with MPG's West Coast brokers to underwrite boatsand yachts with New Hampshire Insurance Company and with MarkelAmerican.

Zurich Insurance has appointed CarolLaufer as head of excess casualty for Zurich GlobalCorporate in North America. Laufer's responsibilities includedriving profitable growth for the Excess Casualty team andcontributing to Zurich's cross-sell initiatives. Prior to joiningZurich, Laufer held positions at ACE, AIG and Reliance National,and most recently served as executive vice president of ExcessCasualty at ACE.
