As adjusters we didn’t always think about how many items couldbe easily restored for a reasonable cost. With our eyes opened tothe ease and benefits of restoration, we are amazed at howfrequently salvageable items are tossed away as trash. When itemslike furniture, cabinets, millwork, fireplace mantles, and hardwoodfloors can be repaired and restored, insurers can save money overcomplete replacement and owners are usually thrilled that theirtreasure has been restored.
