The leaves are falling, a cool chill is in the air, and the NFLis on Sundays and Thursday and Monday nights. Autumn is in fullswing, and with it comes our favorite part of the season: NFLinsurance commercials.

OK, maybe it's not our favorite part of theseason, but when you work so closely with the insurance industry,it is exciting to see who insurers are teaming up with toadvertise during Sunday Funday. This year, insurers are keeping NFLfans entertained and informed with some funny and interestingcommercials.

State Farm and Aaron Rodgers once again team up with classicSaturday Night Live characters (remember last year's “Discount Daaa-bleCheck” commercial?). This time Hans and Franz (played by DanaCarvey and Kevin Nealon) are on hand to pump Aaron Rodgers up — andremind NFL viewers about how it pays to “double check.” Check outthe full-length 60-minute version of the commercial above.

There's something about that jingle, and NFL fans are hearing ita lot with this commercial featuring future Hall-of-Famer PeytonManning. Have you started singing everyday tasks to its tuneyet?

USAA featured some of the NFL's military families in one of itslatest TV spots.

In case you didn't know: Former Dallas Cowboysquarterback Roger Staubach won the Heisman Trophy while attendingthe U.S. Naval Academy, and after graduation he served in theNavy and served a tour of duty inVietnam.

Former Super Bowl-winning NFL star and current Carolina PanthersCoach Ron Rivera was raised in a military family: his father was anofficer in the U.S. Army.

Similarly, Washington Redskins' quarterback Robert Griffin III'sparents are both Army sergeants. Griffin was born in Okinawa,Japan, where his parents were stationed, and lived in Washingtonstate and Louisiana before eventually settling in Texas in1997.

Geico has done it again with the “Ickey Shuffle” commercial thisyear. Featuring a former Cincinnati Bengals fullback who lastplayed in 1991 in their commercial ran the risk of not appealing toyounger audiences, but Geico made it work by having Ickey Woods dohis notable endzone touchdown dance to a mundane, everyday task:being next in line to order cold cuts at the grocery store.Genius.
