USAA Chief Operating Officer Stuart Parker will become thecompany's next CEO when Joe Robles retires from the position at theend of February 2015.

Lester Lyles, USAF (Ret.), says in a statement.“The board has found a successor who demonstrates clear devotion toUSAA's mission to serve the military and their families, deepappreciation and respect for our employees who represent the finestworkforce in America, keen business and financial acumen, andunquestionable ethics.

“The board's decision was unanimous because Stuart meets all ofthose criteria and more.”

Robles announced his retirement in February, stating, “It has been myprivilege to work at USAA for nearly 20 years. However, in early2015, it will be time for me to pass leadership of this greatassociation to the next CEO.”

Upon today's announcement that Parker will become the next CEO,Robles said,“Having worked with Stuart for many years, I know he'sideally suited to lead USAA forward. Stuart was instrumental inbuilding USAA's financial advice capabilities, growing our flagshipP&C line of business, and then managing our financial,strategic and operational planning. He's also a veteran and amilitary spouse. He knows what it means to serve.”

Parker says of his appointment, “After serving USAA'smembership in numerous capacities for the past 16 years, I'm deeplyhonored and humbled to be selected to lead this greatorganization.”

Parker has been COO since 2012 to 2014. From 2007 to 2012, heled USAA's Property and Casualty Insurance Group in multiplelocations throughout the U.S. and Europe.

A graduate from the Air Force ROTC program, Parker flew theC-141 Starlifter in combat missions during Operation DesertShield/Desert Storm. He was also an instructor pilot flying T-38aircraft.

Carl Liebert will replace Parker as COO. He joined USAA in 2013.Liebert has held senior leadership roles at The Home Depot, CircuitCity and General Electric, and was CEO of 24 Hour Fitness from 2006to 2013.

He is a former U.S. Navy officer, and served on USAA's board ofdirectors from 2011 to 2013.
