RIMS president Carolyn Snow has a message for risk managers attending this year's Annual Conference and Exhibition in Denver: get out and share your experiences, and soak in the experiences of your colleagues.
"Collaboration is essential," Snow, who is director of risk management at Humana Inc., said during Monday's General Session. She encouraged those in the audience to be visible, meet people, share ideas and best practices, and work with others to enhance knowledge and effectiveness.
"You can't do risk management from behind a desk," she stated.
