Travelers and The Hartford took top honors among the insurersrecognized in Compuware's fifth annual “Best of the Web” awards,bestowed upon top-performing web and mobile sites.

The IT performance company selects the winners based onperformance excellence in several criteria, including averageresponse time, availability and consistency of the sites throughoutthe entire year. Companies are recognized across five majorindustries: banking, brokerage, insurance, retail and travel.

Travelers received the gold medal for the best mobile website inthe auto and property insurance industry.

Also noted among top performers in auto and property wereLiberty Mutual and Geico, which earned silver and bronze honors,respectively.

The Hartford received “The Last Mile” gold award for its website from Compuware, indicating the carrier exhibited the bestcombined performance in 2013 measured from the Compuware Last Milenetwork. The criteria here include average response time, averageavailability and average consistency.
