Brown & Brown,Inc. today announced the selection of R. Andrew Watts asexecutive vice president, treasurer and chief financialofficer. Watts, formerly global head of customeradministration for the financial and risk division of Thomson Reuters, will assume theresponsibilities of executive vice president and treasurereffective immediately, and replace current CFO CoryWalker in March, upon Walker's retirement.
|Watts will be based in Daytona Beach, Fla., and will report toBrown & Brown President and CEO J. PowellBrown.
|Watts has worked with Thomson Reuters for more than 12 years. Inhis tenure, he has also served as chief financial officer formultiple divisions with the company and completed numerousacquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, hewas CFO and co-founder of Textera, a company formed to create a newonline marketplace for sale and distribution of industrialtextiles; and also served as a senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopersin Florham Park, N.J., Milan, Italy and Chicago. Watts is acertified public accountant and a graduate of Illinois StateUniversity.
