Crawford & Company has named Robert D. “Bob” Jones managingdirector for Crawford Forensic Accounting Services (CFAS) in theUnited States. This is a newly created position for CFAS, which ispart of Global Technical Services, a division focused on large andcomplex claims management.

In his new position, Jones will be responsible for developingand maintaining U.S. client relationships, managing operational andadministrative activities, and supervising forensic accountingservices. As such, all of the company’s U.S. forensic accountantswill report to him. Crawford adds that Jones will work closely withits forensic accounting teams in Canada, as well as managementteams in Latin America, with the goal of expanding forensicservices in those markets.

Formerly, Jones served as managing director of the StrategicLoss Management Group for GTS and was based in Crawford’s LosAngeles, Calif. office.

Forensic Accounting is part of the group of specialty servicesthat make up Crawford Specialty Markets, which is focused onserving Lloyd’s of London and the international adjusting market.Specialty Markets was announced in July 2013 as a new globaloffering, and bolsters the large and complex claim capabilities ofCrawford Global Technical Services.

Jones has been involved exclusively in the field of forensicaccounting, risk analysis, and corporate investigations for morethan 30 years. He has worked extensively with insurance companies,public corporations and private companies, and attorneys, focusinghis career on financial forensics and investigations. He hastestified on numerous occasions as an expert in civil and criminalmatters, and is a U.S. Navy veteran and a California-licensedprivate investigator.
