Industry veteran Peter Gorman was appointed interim chiefexecutive officer of Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford's NorthAmerican subsidiary Cooper Gay Re.

Gorman previously served as executive vice president of CooperGay Re and has more than 22 years of experience in the reinsurancemarket.

Gorman's promotion follows the departure of CEO Ron Carlier, who resigned sixmonths after being appointed to the role. Gorman will be basedout of the company's New York office.
