Six months after being named CEO of Cooper Gay Re North America,Ron Carlier has left the position.

Cooper Gay Swett& Crawford confirmed the news on Tuesday. Carlier was namedto the New York-based position in May.

Carlier's departure marked the second resignation from thecompany within the last week. Earlier in November, Gordon Newmanwas appointed to the position of CEO following last month'sacquisition of Newman Martin & Buchan LLP. Cooper Gay confirmedin a statement on Nov. 18 that Sam Hovey, Cooper Gay's previous CEOresigned and left the company.

Despite the recent departures, Cooper Gay Swett & Crawfordintends to continue their services and strive for furtherdevelopment.

“We remain committed to our U.S. reinsurance business and todeveloping our strategy and platform in the region. We will bemaking further announcements shortly,” the company said in astatement.
