Philadelphia Insurance Companies has pledged $50,000, along with$20,000 of executive donations, towards aiding American Red Crossrelief efforts in the Philippines, and is matching all employeegifts.

PHLY's founder and chairman emeritus James J. Maguire isdonating $10,000 and another $10,000 from the MaguireFoundation.

“We are saddened to hear the news and see the images ofdevastation and loss in the Philippines,” says Bob O'Leary,president and CEO of Philadelphia Insurance Companies. “We commendour partners at the Red Cross for their continued commitment todisaster relief and pledge our support to their efforts.”

Philadelphia Insurance Companies has donated more than $14million to charitable causes and organizations since 1980. Theyrecently funded Red Cross aid to Midwest tornado victims in May,and have donated to relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy, the Haitiearthquake, and the Japanese tsunami and earthquake.
