1st Central, a specialist auto insurer in theUK, has responded to market changes through the adoption ofAccenture Duck Creek's rating software. 1stCentral completes an average of 400,000 to 750,000 insurance quotesdaily through the software, at a rate of less than one second perquote. Last year the insurer processed more than 130 million quotesresulting in the sale of approximately 200,000 car insurancepolicies.

Woman's Life Insurance Society has licensed theFAST business process driven software suite, FASTInsurance Components, to support new business processing for itslife and annuity business. The solution will include applicationentry, case management and underwriting.

Catlin, a U.S. specialty insurer, has signed anagreement to license ClarionDoor's Insured Ratingsoftware solution. Catlin selected the software to enable aweb-based rating solution for their managing general agents (MGAs),as well as on-line access to Catlin's underwriting manuals anddocuments. ClarionDoor will provide a turnkey solution for Catlinthat includes development of a branded user interface, rates,algorithms, and an ACORD XML web service for both general liabilityand commercial property.
