The winners of the 2013 Insurance Professional of the Year Award are Lara Nelson Miller, employed by Hanover XS in Georgia and chair of the Georgia public relations council, and Linda Luka, agent education coordinator at West Bend Mutual Insurance Company.
The awards, given by the International Association of Insurance Professionals, recognizes individuals who have contributed to the insurance industry through education, networking, legislative activity, and community involvement.
Sara Skirvin, who holds certified risk manager (CRM) and Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designations and works for Hylant, took home the Risk Management Professional of the Year award.
