Workers' Compensation Reinsurance Association (WCRA) and Tropics Software Technologies announce that WCRA has selected Tropics to create their new reinsurance systems. Tropics will use its latest generation of workers' compensation processing software, Tropics Breeze, as a base to create a specialized reinsurance system, including actuarial processes, to be used by WCRA. Tropics will also add this system to its product line for sale to other workers' compensation excess carriers.

Following the devastation of Superstorm Sandy, ROM Reinsurance, located in downtown Manhattan, reached out to Hyland Software to see how they could work together to get its systems back up and running. ROM was able to switch its ECM deployment from the on-premises solution to Hyland's cloud-based solution, OnBase Online and regained business functionality to access information and support clients after the storm.

The Phoenix Companies purchased Jahia Extended Content Management from Jahia to create an advanced intranet portal for its independent advisors, agents, and brokers. Phoenix seeks to manage the firm's multiple websites using a single solution and platform, integrate with a variety of best-of-breed applications used by most insurance companies, and build its own applications and business solutions much faster than other options allow.
