Dempsey Partners announced the appointment ofMartin J. Ross III as director of businessdevelopment for its Forensic Analysis practice. He will develop andleverage executive-level relationships within the commercialinsurance industry. He was previously vice president ofBusiness Insurance magazine.

Sheri Wilson was named national property claimdirector by Lockton Cos. She will serve as an expertresource for all of Lockton's claims operations and has more than20 years of industry experience.

TheInternational Insurance Society (IIS) chose Gary M.Comerford to fill the role of chairman of the IISAmbassadors. Comerford is executive vice president and chiefmarketing officer of Reinsurance Group of America Inc. The IISAmbassadors is a group of 30 dedicated IIS members.

Thomas Zacharopoulos, managing principal andIntegro's market relations leader, will assumethe role of Chicago operations leader. He follows NancyAque, who recently announced her intention to retire laterthis year. Zacharopoulos was previously vice chairman and nationalclient development leader of the financial products practice atMarsh USA.

NAS Insurance Services added two seniorexecutives to its growing underwriting team: ChrisReese joins as vice president and BrookDutcher as assistant vice president. Reese returns to NASafter time as vice president for Chivaroli & Assos. Dutcher isalso product specialist for the Cyber Liability productteam.

Douglas S. Gordon joined Neace Lukens as senior vice president. Gordonwas formerly with Douglas S. Gordon Insurance Services and bringsmore than 30 years of industry experience to the company.

Willis NorthAmerica made three key appointments in an effort to strengthenits Massachusetts operations: Todd Granger wasappointed executive vice president and human capital practiceleader, Julie Powers was appointed executive vicepresident of Willis' property-casualty service team andSteve Schoenberger was appointed vice president ofthe company's property-casualty middle market production team. Inaddition, the company relocated and expanded its Boston propertiesand signed a 5-year lease to occupy 8,000 square feet in Billerica,Mass.

Burns& Wilcox is the newest preferred provider of the Iroquois Group.Burns & Wilcox will provide Iroquois Member Agents access tothe company's brokerage, property-casualty, professional liability,transportation, environmental and personal insurance productofferings. Through its association with Iroquois, Burns &Wilcox agents and brokers will gain access to national, regionaland specialty insurance carriers; assistance with marketoptimization; and strategies to maximize agency revenue, profit andvalue.

Hiscox launched Hiscox Professional LiabilityPortfolio. The new product offers customized policy forms forcertain client segments and includes common and simplified policylanguage. Other features include:

  • Targeted, industry-specific policy forms
  • Wider base coverage
  • Cross-selling opportunities.

Enservio introduced a co-party activation debitcard for insurance claims payments. The card has been used tosettle more than $100 million in claims so far and is applicablefor auto, personal property, dwelling and liability payments. Thepatented electronic settlement system is based on technology thatrequires both parties to activate their separate cards in order forfunds to be accessed.

StarrIndemnity & Liability Co. was granted permission toparticipate as an Approved Insurance Provider in the federal cropinsurance program for 2013 by the Risk Management Agency of theUnited States Dept. of Agriculture. Starr will be working withInternational Ag Insurance Solutions, the program's managinggeneral agency.
