Willis has launched its new online underwriting anddata-management system, WillisCaptus, for use by Risk RetentionGroups (RRG), captives and healthcare providers.
|WillisCaptus, designed to handle thousands of data records, aidsthese groups in developing underwriting information by eliminatingpaperwork, file maintenance and storage.
|“We believe that WillisCaptus significantly changes the RRGunderwriting environment,” says Aidan Kelly, senior vice presidentand chief operations officer of Willis Global Captive Practice. Hesays the program is a solution to clients in need of assistancestreamlining the risk-retention process.
|More than 100 healthcare systems nationwide have already signedon to the program, including the Catholic Healthcare Initiatives(CHI) healthcare system, which operates in 19 U.S. states andincludes 76 hospitals and $10.5 billion in revenue. The companyuses the system to cover its medical malpractice and professionalliability insurance lines.
