In response to the need for an education in international insurance, The Institutes has developed a self-study online course covering key elements of this broad area.
The new course, International Insurance Fundamentals, instructs participants on the tools necessary to construct an international insurance program for an organization based in the United States. The course uses a case-based approach with real-world examples to illustrate complex concepts, making it ideal for new hires and for experienced professionals who are otherwise unfamiliar with the international market.
The Institutes adds that the CPCU Society’s International Insurance Interest Group (3iG) was instrumental in the development of this course. Topics include:
- Overview of international insurance
- Identifying international loss exposures
- Regulatory compliance
- Insurer and broker networks
- Reverse flow business
- Selecting international insurance solutions
More information about this course and other offerings can be accessed at The Institutes’ website.
