AIG Benefit Solutions filled five leadershiproles with industry veterans: Susan Kenny Cotteras head of product, Arthur Drake as head oftransformation, Deanna Osmonson as head ofcompliance, Lorena Weaver as head of informationtechnology and Thomas DeLuca as vicepresident, human resources.

Michael C. Davidson was appointed adjunctprofessor of agency excellence by The American College. He will assist studentsworking to complete manangement and leadership designations in theNorthwestern Mutual O. Alfred Granum Center for FinancialSecurity.

Marsh announced the appointment ofAndrew George as chairman of its global energypractice. He was previously head of Marsh's energy practice forEurope, a position now filled by AndrewHerring.

Craig Fundum was named president ofcommercial markets and customer industry segments for Zurich. His focus will be on Zurich'sbusiness strategies surrounding profit and growth with key customergroups such as financial institutions, real estate andhealthcare.

Mergers & Acquisitions

CBIZ has acquired insurance broker Stoltz andCo. Stoltz and Co. is a Texas-based broker with expertise inthe oil and gas industry and is an important step for CBIZ inexpanding its national property and casualty footprint inaddition to increasing its captive risk and energy marketpresence.

Public Entities ofAmerica (PEA) has been aquired by OneBeaconInsurance Group. PEA is a wholesale brokerage based in Atlantathat specializes in the public sector and will continue to operateindependently, focusing on the placement of insurance forgovernment entity clients.

Marsh & McLennan Agency, a subsidiary ofinsurance broker Marsh Inc., acquired Security InsuranceServices Inc. Security Insurance Services offers property,casualty and employee benefits products to individuals andbusinesses in the Midwest, specifically those related to seniorliving, manufacturing and construction industries.

New Programs

|

Chartis has introduced a line of lossprevention services for yacht insurance clients. The program buildson offerings involving risk management for homeowners andcollectors of valuables. The service focuses on common claim causessuch as fire and crew member injury. The program alsoincludes:

  • Crew member background checks
  • Hurricane prepardness reviews and planning
  • Contacts with best-in-class safe harbor, dry dock and repairfacilities
  • Safety education materials.

Additional services exist for larger yachts, such as crew firstaid training and several equipment reviews and evaluations todetect issues on-board.

Aon's Rent Protect program has been expanded toinclude the following U. S. states: Delaware, Georgia, Illinois,Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, NorthCarolina and Virginia. The program offers cash flowprotection for landlords suffering from rental income lossesfollowing nonpayment of rent and covers legal expenses associatedwith eviction.
