IASA asks members, associate members and insurance industryexperts to contribute ideas and expertise to the program for theassociation's annual Educational Conference. The call for papersprocess opened on July 1.

IASA will accept submissions to be evaluated for possibleinclusion in the educational offerings at the 2013 IASA AnnualEducational Conference & Business Show. Individuals, membercompanies, associate members and industry volunteers are encouragedto submit potential topics and suggested speakers on the IASAwebsite via the “Call for Papers” link. The deadline forsubmissions is August 31.

The 2013 IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business Showwill be held inWashington,DC, June 2-5. This event attracts morethan 2,000 accounting, technology, operations, and financialservices professionals who work for, or are affiliated with, theinsurance industry. IASA 2013 will again provide educationalsessions in three main categories: Accounting, Risk Management& Finance, Technology, and Career Skills Development. IASA strives to enhance the knowledge of insurance industryprofessionals, and participants from similar organizations closelyallied with the insurance industry, by facilitating the exchange ofideas and information. As a result, the goal for thesepresentations is to provide attendees with an opportunity to learnby sharing real-life examples from leaders within the insurance andfinancial services industries. Submissions must includeparticipation from insurance company professionals to be consideredfor inclusion in the 2013 program.

The following details must be included with each submission:

  • A clear and concise presentation title;
  • A short, informative session abstract;
  • Basic learning objectives for attendees; and
  • Contact information for the submitter.

Submissions that are selected for inclusion will be announced inNovember of this year to give all scheduled presenters time toprepare for the 2013 conference.
