The Workers' Compensation Institute (WCI) has formed as anoutgrowth of the Florida Workers' Compensation Institute (FWCI) toprovide the workers' compensation community across the country withnews and resources.
|WCI also becomes the organizing sponsor of the annual Workers'Compensation Educational Conference (WCEC), which waspreviously sponsored by FWCI. WCEC is now in its 67thyear, and is held every August in Orlando, Fla.
|As part of its initial launch, WCI has created a website and has Twitter account and LinkedInaccounts.
|The website contains state-specific and national workers'compensation news and feature articles targeted toward claimsprofessionals, members of the legal and medical communities,insurers, brokers, agents, employers and employees.
|FWCI will remain in existence and continue its Florida focusunder the WCI umbrella.
