A new mobile application fromTrusted Choice makes it easier for clients to contact theirindependent insurance agent.

Designed for use on smartphones and tablet computers, the appprovides consumers with the ability to keep an inventory of theirinsured personal possessions, document a car accident with photos,read consumer-insurance tips and communicate with their agent.

The app also includes a “find an agent” feature that helpsconsumers find a local Trusted Choice independent agent. Aco-branded version with their logos can be customized for TrustedChoice agencies.

Developed by Project CAP in conjunction with the IndependentInsurance Agents and Brokers of America and Trusted Choice, the appis available in the iTunes store for use on iOS devices such asiPhones and iPads; and in the Google Play store for use on Androidphones and tablets.

“The independent agents of America now have a real presence onconsumers' phones and tablet computers,” Scott Deetz, Project CAP'sCEO, says in a statement.

Consumers increasingly are turning to mobile solutions. Nearlyhalf (46 percent) of American adults owned smartphones as ofFebruary 2012, according to the Pew Research Center.
