The Stingray system from Maximum Processing ishighly configurable and able to meet the needs of individualclients, but one thing that makes it stand out—and worthy of a RAVEAward for p&c policy admin system—is it doesn't need to affectthe core system or other clients, according to Sean Pitcher, president of Maximum Processing.

"The client doesn't have to wait for a release or a new versionto be able to have new functionality or workflows," he says. "Wehave weekly client calls to ensure open communication and eachclient has a business analyst assigned to them as well as ourtechnical people."

Maximum Processing's basic philosophy is to takeeverything that the company disliked in the software process andturn it on its ear, according to Pitcher. Some of the main pointsof that philosophy include: clients are allowed to cancel at anytime without penalty; and the entire system is provided for thelicense, including interfaces so there are no add-ons or missingparts.

"When a new interface is added, clients are able to have it aspart of their license," says Pitcher. "We have no limitation onusers, premium, lines of business, or writing companies—the licenseis a site license so it is a fixed cost as clients grow."

Maximum Processing has a customer portal for its projectmanagement system that allows clients to see all of the work goingon, the progress being made, and who is working on the system withthe ability to change or set priorities.

MaximumProcessing Customer Quote:"The senior business staff is very good at stayingabreast of detail. New support staff get up the learning curve ofour extensive customization very quickly."

"We also include a lot of additional functions as part of thelicense—imaging, workflow, business intelligence, and more," saysPitcher.

Pitcher explains that Maximum Processing's number-one priorityis its commitment to its clients.

"We really focus on being a good partner," he says. "We want tohave a long-lasting relationship with our clients and work toensure that we deal fairly, openly, and honestly with them."
