Chartis has rolled out Leaders Risk Protector, amodular-insurance plan designed for schools, associations andpublic entities and the exposures of their employees and managementstaff.

Developed by the Chartis Financial Lines division, the plancombines a number of coverages into a single policy for errors& omissions, management, network security and privacy, eventmanagement and employment-practices liability.

“Schools, public entities, and associations may be heldresponsible for damages emanating from diverse exposures includingbreach of public duty, employment practice violations, and datasecurity and private violations,” says John Gambale, Chartis'president of the Professional Liability unit within FinancialLines, in a statement. “Leaders Risk Protection deliversfar-reaching coverage for these multifaceted liabilities in onepolicy form.”

These exposures include expanded Employment Practices LiabilityInsurance for workplace bullying and violations of the GeneticInformation Non-Discrimination Act, which prohibits the use ofgenetic information in employment and health insurance.

Leaders Risk Protector offers Security & Privacy insuranceto respond to third-party liability claims arising from a networksecurity breach or compromised personal information, EventManagement Insurance to pay for public-relations services to assistin maintaining information privacy after an incident, andCrisisFund Insurance providing money to hire a preapproved publicrelations firm to preserve the insured's reputation in case ofcrisis.
