He meetsregularly with legislators, policy advisors and the Californiagovernor's office regarding insurance and workers' compensationissues.

At Snap-on, which he joined in 1979, Dan is responsible fordirecting all risk-management activities worldwide. He is alsoresponsible for security and loss-prevention programs for theparent and all subsidiary companies worldwide. In 2009, Dan and hisrisk-management team received NU's Excellence in WorkersCompensation (Honorable Mention). He currently serves on the boardof directors of RIMS.

Michael Liebowitz

Since 2006, Michael has held responsibility for the globalproperty and casualty insurance program at New York University, oneof the nation's largest and most prestigious private universities.Previously, he was director of risk management, safety and securityat Bridgeport Hospital & Healthcare System Inc. in Connecticutfor 18 years. During his tenure at the company, he single-handedlycreated the risk-management department that supported theactivities of five companies. Michael served as RIMS president in2007-2008.

At the RIMS national level, he is currently servingas a member of the board of directors and is director of RIMS'international efforts.

Sarah Perry

Sarah Perry began her insurance and risk-management career inthe early 1980s with a major insurance broker. She served as therisk manager for an Iowa hospital and for a workers' compensationtrust in Missouri prior to joining the City of Columbia in 1997 asthe risk manager. Sarah served as president of the PRIMA (PublicRisk Management Association) board from 2008-2009 and was on theboard of directors from 2003-2010.
