|Alexander Moczarski, president and chief executive officer ofGuy Carpenter, will take on the additional role of chairman ofMarsh & McLennan Companies International.
|The parent company of insurance-broker Marsh andreinsurance-broker Guy Carpenter says Moczarski’s newresponsibilities include oversight of the company’s internationalstrategy and its expanding group of country-corporate officerslocated in regions around the world.
|Prior to joining Guy Carpenter in 2011, Moczarski served aspresident and CEO of Marsh's International Division, comprising allcountries outside of theUnited StatesandCanada.
|Moczarski has more than 30 years of experience in the insuranceindustry. He joined Marsh in 1993 as director of planning anddevelopment for Argentina and Chile. In 2001, he became region headfor Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2004, he became head of thefirm's International Specialty Operations, a region thatencompassed Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, andtheCaribbean.
|In 2006, Moczarski became CEO of Marsh’s Europe, Middle East andAfrica (EMEA) region. He was named president and CEO of Marsh’sInternational Division in 2008.
