Moczarski Named Chairman of Marsh & McLennan Companies International

Alexander Moczarski, president and chief executive officer of Guy Carpenter, will take on the additional role of chairman of Marsh & McLennan Companies International.

The parent company of insurance-broker Marsh and reinsurance-broker Guy Carpenter says Moczarski’s new responsibilities include oversight of the company’s international strategy and its expanding group of country-corporate officers located in regions around the world.

Prior to joining Guy Carpenter in 2011, Moczarski served as president and CEO of Marsh's International Division, comprising all countries outside of theUnited StatesandCanada.

Moczarski has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined Marsh in 1993 as director of planning and development for Argentina and Chile. In 2001, he became region head for Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2004, he became head of the firm's International Specialty Operations, a region that encompassed Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and theCaribbean.

In 2006, Moczarski became CEO of Marsh’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. He was named president and CEO of Marsh’s International Division in 2008.
